Shannen Wins Junior British OpenAt the Junior British Open held at Bushbury on the 11th and 12th October (2003) Shannen Bamford qualified for the stepladder final in first place and then went on to win her game against Katie Jayne Squires of Hull to become the Under 12 Junior British Open Champion for 2003. In the Under 18 division, Kat Little qualified for the round robin and finished 4th. Many thanks to Will Etherington, the team and the YBC at AMF Strykers for a great weekend. |

Tamworth Inter CountiesFour Liverpool juniors where in action at the Under 16's County Championships held at Tamworth on October 5th. Ian Davies bowled for Cheshire while Nick Winstanley, Samantha Corcoran and Shannen Bamford all represented Lancashire. Ian bowled a 181 avg (211 high game), Nick a 190 avg (224 high game), Samantha averaged 177 (203 high game) and Shannon rolled a 144 avg (173 high game). Well done! |
